It’s true – “When one door closes another door opens.” As the work season begins again in earnest, many of us re-articulate our goals and ramp up our strategies to achieve them. But as a backwards interpretation of the saying suggests, perhaps we should consider the things we need to set aside to create the space we need.
Pause and Reflect:
- What doors will you intentionally close this fall? (Pick a number now: 2, 3, 5 doors?)
- How will shutting those doors increase your available bandwidth?
- What new opportunity will you now chase down with gusto?
