Immature believers abound, and that’s all right. Babies must complete all stages of development before they achieve maturity. But we should never put an infant in a place of leadership. Leaders must be adults in the faith if they are to be role models and examples to those coming after.

Worship is not a concert. It’s not karaoke. Worship is not about us. It’s about God. How do we decide which style is right or best? Is it popular opinion? Does the pastor get to decide? How do we resolve this worship war?
What does it look like when God’s Spirit is poured out on a people willing to surrender everything back to Him? There seems to be some common characteristics that mark these times of extraordinary fellowship and the palpable presence of God. This is a glimpse of the Christian community that will stand and boldly proclaim the name of Jesus in our age.
Many churchgoers have stopped taking responsibility for corporate worship. Instead of making a fervent cry of thanksgiving and adoration to the Lord, many Christians stand passively in the audience, observing the worship leaders performing on stage.
Just as the Christian life is union and fellowship, even so the church is union and fellowship. Its nature is union. Its nature is fellowship. Union and fellowship with Christ, and union and fellowship with each other – in Christ. That is all the church is: union and fellowship with each other, in Him. And every other aspect of church life will come out of that – inevitably and spontaneously. And it will be real. When it comes it will be genuine, and alive.
Wise leaders and pastors understand that lasting change requires individuals to change first before an organization will change. Your change won’t last or will disrupt your church unless those in your teams personally embrace the change first, at least at some level. So it behooves us to first understand why most people initially resist change.
